How it works
The interesting part of food delivery is the twelve minutes nobody shows you.
Ordering is easy to build. Coordinating a kitchen, a courier and a customer so that hot food arrives when it was promised is the hard part, and it is the part Sellio is actually built around.
For customers
What happens after you tap order
- 01
We show you only what can reach you
Enter an address and Sellio filters the catalogue by the courier network around you, not by a marketing radius. If a kitchen is 4 miles away and the food will not survive the trip, it does not appear. The delivery fee and window are printed on the card before you open the menu.
Zones are drawn by hand per city and reviewed quarterly.
- 02
Your order lands in the kitchen, not in a queue
Sellio is integrated with the point-of-sale systems most independent restaurants already run, so a ticket prints on the same rail as a walk-in order. Nobody retypes anything. Notes about allergies and heat travel with the ticket rather than in a separate app.
Median time from tap to printed ticket: 4 seconds.
- 03
Dispatch waits for the food
Most platforms assign a courier the second an order is placed, which is why couriers stand around and food sits waiting. Sellio predicts the ticket time for those specific items at that specific kitchen, then dispatches a courier to arrive as it comes off the pass.
Predicted from the last 30 days of that restaurant's tickets.
- 04
One courier, one order, a live map
We do not batch three unrelated orders onto one courier by default. You see the courier's position, their name, and a window that narrows as they get closer. If the window slips by more than eight minutes, the service fee is refunded without you having to ask.
Batching only happens when two orders share a pickup and a street.
For restaurants
What the platform looks like from the kitchen
Onboarding takes about four business days
One call to set up the menu, an optional photography visit, and a test order placed by your account manager before the listing opens to the public.
You keep control of the menu
Prices, hours, item availability and the delivery radius are yours. Pause the listing mid-service in one tap when the kitchen is buried, and it reopens when you say so.
Payouts land weekly, or daily if you prefer
Weekly is the default: every Tuesday for the week ending Sunday. Daily payouts can be switched on from the dashboard at no extra cost.
For couriers
What it looks like from the bike
Paid from the moment you accept
Base pay is per minute from acceptance to hand-off, plus a per-mile rate. Waiting at the restaurant is paid time.
You see the whole offer first
Distance, expected minutes, pickup, drop-off area and the guaranteed minimum are all on the offer card before you accept. No blind acceptance.
Tips are yours in full
One hundred percent of the tip goes to you, and a tip never reduces the base payment Sellio owes.
What we do when it goes wrong
Late by more than 8 minutes
The service fee is refunded automatically. You do not have to report it or ask.
An item is missing
Report it within 48 hours from the order page. Refunded to your original payment method within one business day, with no photograph required.
The food is wrong or unsafe
A person from Trust & Safety reviews the report the same day, contacts the restaurant, and refunds the full order.
